Urology as a medical specialty
Urology is the medical specialty that treats the symptoms and pathologies that affect the urinary system, the adrenal glands and retroperitoneum, and the male reproductive system.
As a curiosity, Francisco Díaz (Alcalá de Henares, 1527-Madrid, 1590) is internationally considered the "father of universal urology". He is the author of the first treatise on urology.
The birth of urology dates back to the second half of the 19th century as a subspecialty of General Surgery.

Tests in our center

- Urological ultrasounds. Diagnostic test that uses ultrasound to obtain two-dimensional or three-dimensional images, in this case, of the kidneys.
