Biopsies

Diagnostic procedure that consists of the extraction of a total or partial sample of tissue to be examined under a microscope. A biopsy involves the removal of tissue to test for disease. Biopsies can be done safely with imaging guidance such as ultrasound, X-rays, computed tomography (CT), or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
